This location is cashless. You must pay with a credit or debit card. No cash, checks, or money orders are accepted at the South Service Center. A 4.5% convenience fee applies to card payments. No American Express is accepted.

South Fulton Marriage License Requirements
Both applicants must appear in person at any Fulton County Probate Court location. Each person must be at least 18 years old. Georgia law allows 17-year-olds to apply only with proof of legal emancipation.
Bring one of these valid photo IDs:
- State-issued driver's license or ID card
- Original or certified birth certificate (English translation required if in another language)
- Valid U.S. or foreign passport
- Military ID
If you were married before, bring a certified copy of the final divorce decree, annulment order, or death certificate of the former spouse. The court needs to confirm that any earlier marriage has ended. No blood test is needed. Georgia has not required one since July 1, 2003.
You can fill out the online marriage license application before your visit. Print the completed form and bring it with you to save time at the counter. The online form does not replace the in-person visit.
Marriage License Fees in South Fulton
The Fulton County Probate Court charges $68.50 for a standard marriage license. This is higher than most Georgia counties but applies to all Fulton County residents, including South Fulton. One certified copy of the marriage certificate is included and will be mailed after recording.
Couples who complete a qualifying premarital education program pay $28.50 instead. The course must be at least six hours and done within 12 months of the application date. A licensed counselor, therapist, or clergy member must lead the program. Bring the completion certificate with you. This saves South Fulton couples $40 on their license fee.
