Dunwoody Marriage License Requirements
Both people must come to the courthouse at the same time. Each person must bring a valid photo ID. A driver's license, passport, state ID, or military ID will work. Social Security numbers are also required.
Previously married applicants must bring a certified copy of their divorce decree, annulment order, or death certificate. Georgia does not require a blood test for a marriage license. That ended in 2003. There is also no waiting period. The license is valid from the moment it is issued and does not expire.
You must be at least 18 years old. A 17-year-old may apply only with a court order proving emancipation. No one under 17 can get a marriage license in Georgia. The online application will ask for details like date of birth, address, and prior marriage history. Fill it out carefully before you go to Decatur.

After Your Dunwoody Wedding
Your officiant signs the license after the ceremony. Return the signed license to the DeKalb County Probate Court within 30 days. You can mail it to the Decatur office or bring it by in person. The court records the marriage and sends a certified certificate to you by mail.
